Vanessa Bell, Founder and Owner of Sarah Jane Bond was invited to be one of the speakers for the Central West Farming Systems 2019 triennial Conference held at Condobolin. The event was held on 27 March focusing on Women and Youth in Agriculture with discussions directed to "Resilience and Renewal".
"It's an honour to be asked to be one of the speakers for the CWFS 2019 Conference at Condobolin. I think it’s important to raise the profile of women and youth in agriculture and to highlight the opportunities to link industry (in my case Fashion, Agriculture and Media). There is an incredible opportunity for people in regional and rural Australia to utilise the digital space to leverage their products to a global market place", said Vanessa Bell.
The Conference was held at Condobolin Research & Advisory Station, with approximately 150 attendees. Other speakers included Sussan Ley MP (The Hon), Pip Job, Ginny Stevens and Hamish Munro.
Regional Development Australia Central West quoted:
"Inspiring talk at CWFS Conference by Vanessa Bell of Sarah Jane Bond - a high end fine wool baby blanket business based in Goulburn. Vanessa is such a good example of skills being utilised in the bush, including - farmer, model, media company manager, mother, fashion company and entrepreneur!"
